July events for Political Godmother
Also: How to schedule me for your book club, library event or classroom
This month’s newsletter will be short and to the point: You have two opportunities to hear me talk about Political Godmother this month, so mark your calendars!
1.) I’ll be a guest on New Hampshire Public Radio’s The Exchange on Thursday July 16 at 9 a.m. Details on how to listen here.
2.) On Thursday July 23 at 6:30 p.m. I’ll take part in the Griffin Free Public Library’s Summer Author Series. It’s free, but you need to register to get the Zoom link. You can do that here.
Looking ahead to the fall…
A tiny silver lining of our socially distanced world is that authors like me are willing to speak remotely to books clubs, local libraries and students. In addition to discussing the book itself, I can talk about political journalism, the importance of local news and (perfect for an election year!) the often-overlooked role of women as power brokers in social movements across the ideological spectrum.
If you’re interested in booking me, reach out by replying to this email. I do these kinds of events free of charge but will probably plug my wonderful local bookstore (or yours) multiple times during my talk. (Speaking of: Gibson’s Bookstore in Concord, New Hampshire still has a few signed copies of Political Godmother in stock.)
Rate and review. PLEASE!
Finally, please consider taking a few minutes to review Political Godmother on Amazon or GoodReads. Doing so really helps other readers find the book. Don’t have time to write a full review? That’s okay. A simple rating with stars is nearly as good.
As always, thank you for your support.
